SALVATION ARMY REACHES OUT TO FLOOD VICTIMS

JULY 9, 2007 -- According to Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Courville, the Salvation Army has provided cleanup kits and $100 Wal-Mart gift cards to residents affected by the recent floods.

those interested in receiving these items from the Salvation Army can go to the Vermilion Parish Jail between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.  The contact person at the jail will be Deputy Susan Hebert.  She can be reached at 337-898-4424.

courville asks that the head of the household be the one to apply in person in order to validate and approve the application process.  The applicant must report to the jail with his or her driver's license for proof of identification.
