FAMILY TREE DISASTER RECOVERY COUNSELING PROGRAM
Dated: 02.28.2011
The Family Tree Disaster Recovery Counseling Program for residents of Vermilion Parish affected by Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill is offered free of charge for those who qualify.
Through the Disaster Recovery Grant provided by United Way of Acadiana, residents of Vermilion Parish have the opportunity to receive free counseling sessions for issues related to the oil spill. While crisis intervention has assisted people in having their immediate needs served, residents affected by the oil spill continue to face unknown, long range effects, thus, the need for long term disaster response for psychological recovery. Counseling services through this grant will be provided through June, 2011 for individuals, couples, and families who qualify for services.
