Vermilion Parish FirstCall Emergency Alert System

Now that we are in the midst of hurricane season, Vermilion Parish residents are urged to  register with the parishes FirstCall emergency alert system in order to receive emergency alerts/updates  from Parish officials in situations where emergency alerting would be necessary, such as well blowouts and other emergencies.  Your emergency phone contact numbers would be called and a message would be played alerting you of the situation. The Alert system can also be used for Hurricane Evacuations, giving the parish a means of contacting individuals who have evacuated and giving them updates, such as if it’s safe for them to return to their homes.
