PUBLIC NOTICE
The Vermilion Parish Police Jury is applying for a grant under the FY 2006 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) Disaster Recovery Program. The type of project involved is for a public facility’s project to upgrade, restore, and protect those projects which are eligible for Louisiana Community Development Block Grant, such as, but not limited to: A) Installing a flood control structure on Bayou Tigre, which would include a floodgate and/or lock and lift system, B) Drainage improvements at Eaton Park Drive, Broussard Ditch, and Attakapa Ridge Subdivision, C) Pursue elevation, acquisition, food-proofing projects and structural solutions to flooding, D) Flood-proofing of a school in a flood zone, E) Relocating a school in the flood zone, F) Communication system and office complex, and G) Upgrading a fire station in a flood zone.
The Vermilion Parish Police Jury is interested in procuring the services of an administrative consulting firm to prepare the application package and to administer and implement the project it is successful in being funded and interested in procuring an engineering firm to assist with preparing the application and provide the engineering design and inspection, if the project is funded.
The procedures for the selection of this firm will be in accordance with the procurement requirements of the LCDBG Program. All responses received will be evaluated in accordance with the selection criteria and corresponding point system that is identified in the “Request for Proposals Package for the Administrative Consulting Firm” and the “Request for Qualifications for the Engineering Firm”. These packages also identify the scope of services to be performed by each selected firm. The Vermilion Parish Police Jury will award the contracts to the respondents obtaining the highest score in the evaluation process in each category.

A response to this request must be hand-delivered or mailed to the above-named person, at the above-named address, in such a manner that it is received no later than 10:30 a.m., on June 15, 2006.
